Option 3:
Retain Brownstone Recovery to work on their behalf and help them recover their share of the settlement. Our areas of expertise are interchange fees and class action settlements. We navigate the filing process on behalf of merchants and utilize our in-depth understanding of interchange rules to help determine if their recovery is appropriate and fair. And the best part: Brownstone Recovery fees are only assessed when we recover funds for merchants. This allows merchants to focus more time on what’s really important, their businesses.
What Is This Case All About
- A court case about unfair business practices related to interchange fees was settled between a group of merchants on one side and Visa/MasterCard/issuing banks on the other side.
- Interchange is the fee collected by banks every time a merchant accepts payment from a customer using a card. We don’t have to tell you how high the fees have gotten.
- Finally, merchants cried FOUL – the lack of competition meant steadily rising fees and no alternatives.
- Both parties agreed to settle for more than $6 billion dollars.
- Claim Forms have not yet been issued.
